5:30: Opening remarks;

Putnam Mathematics Competition

WHAT IS PUTNAM?

The William Lowell Putnam Mathematics Competition is a nationwide undergraduate intercollegiate mathematics competition that has been running since 1938. The exam consists of two written rounds, administered in Boyd in the morning and the afternoon. Each round runs for 3 hours and consists of 6 highly challenging (proof-based) problems.

The exam will run from 10 AM to 6 PM. There will be a break between 1 - 3 pm for lunch (pizza) and discussion.
