Maxim Arap received his Ph.D. in spring 2011 under the advisement of Dr. Elham Izadi. His dissertation was entitled, Tautological Rings of Prym Varieties.

Qianying (Jane) Hong received her Ph.D. in summer 2011 under the advisement of Dr. Ming-Jun Lai. Her dissertation was entitled, Bivariate Splines for Image Enhancements based on Variational Methods.

Justin Manning received his Ph.D. in summer 2011 under the direction of Dr. Robert Varley. His dissertation was entitled, Axiomatic Quantum Fields on the de Sitter Surface with a Local Spectral Condition.

Erik Jacobson received his M.A. in summer 2011 under the direction of Dr. Ted Shifrin. His thesis was entitled, The Geometry of the General Linear Model.
